Spelling

We will not have a Spelling test this week. I also will not be checking planners because the homework work load will be light this week. If you need to contact me, please call the school office, or email me.

Catholic Schools Week!

Here are some reminders for this week.
Our book fair goes on all week.
You can purchase Smarties for our class all week!

Tuesday, tomorrow is hoodie day. Wear your favorite hoodie, and a spare just in case.:)
Wednesday is dress up day. Wear your fancy church clothes.

Also on Wednesday you will have a chance to win a teacher's prize! I am delivering a Starbucks beverage to my winner. I have heard that there are teachers offering lunch out, and even one that is willing to let the winner pie her in the face!! It will work like a raffle. Each ticket cost $1.00. On Wednesday you will buy the tickets from me, then put your ticket in whatever teacher's prize you want to win.

Wednesday is also the day to bring used books, new toys and games, as well as used video games for less fortunate children.

Wednesday is a big day! We will also have our two marshmallow battle reenactments. I'm so excited! I have been watching battle reenactments of Lexington and Concord, and Yorktown on
YouTube. Check with your parents before you watch.

Thursday you do not need to remember to bring anything. You may want to clean out your piggy bank for our book fair and Smarties.

Friday is spirit dress down. Make sure to wear St. Joe colors. Friday is the last morning to buy Smarties, and it is the last day for the book fair.

Have a wonderful week!

Informative Landform Poster

Your poster is due Monday. Please be sure to write the specific information about your specific landform at the top of your paper, and a picture of your specific landform in the middle of your paper.
You should already have the general information about the type of landform you chose at the bottom of your paper since you were given almost an hour in class to work on it.
Again, if you are unable to print the picture of your specific landforms at home, email the picture you would like to use TO ME.
Also, if you are unable to access the Internet to research your specific landforms make sure you have a signed note from a parent letting me know why.
My suggestions for research...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Landform

http://www.edu.pe.ca/southernkings/landforms.htm

Limited info, but a worthwhile video reiterating what we have learned so far. The video also gives specific landformations, however you will still need to research more. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9waVa5c31U

Be sure to document where you got your info on the back of your paper. GOOGLE IS NOT A SITE IT IS A SEARCH ENGINE THAT LEADS TO SITES!

Math FACTS

Dear Parents,

Every night, whether or not your child has assigned homework, they need to work on math facts. It is essential to your child's success to be proficient in math facts for the Think Math series. You do not have to sit and do flash cards every night with your child. If they spend just 10-15 minutes a night on one of these sites they will improve.
